The ACLU of Kentucky and Kentucky Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty are hosting events with death row exoneree Randy Steidl across Eastern Kentucky the week of November 14, 2016. Steidl was released from prison May 28, 2004 after spending 17 years behind bars (12 years on death row) for a crime he had nothing to do with. Steidl will visit Kentucky colleges, faith-based groups, civic clubs, and small community gatherings to share his message, “You can release a man from prison, but you can’t release him from the grave.”
