This bill would eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Kentucky colleges and universities.
House Bill 399
This bill criminalizes protest within the Kentucky State Capitol grounds if it is claimed to “prevent or otherwise interfere with legislative process,” and includes felony charges. Existing laws are more than ample for “disruptive” behavior.
House Bill 495
This bill overturns the Governor’s veto of conversion torture and, in a last-minute addition, strips ALL trans Medicaid recipients of their access to hormones.
House Joint Resolution 15
This resolution would install a monument of the Christian 10 Commandments gifted to the state of Kentucky from the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in 1971–when they were still operating under a policy that excluding Black Kentuckians from membership–on Capitol grounds.
Senate Bill 19
This bill would mandate moments of silence in public schools. Public school students are already allowed to pray in school, and this mandate could be construed as coersion.
