Under a Joint Consent Order, Kentucky's new D&E Abortion Ban is blocked from enforcement.
"This brings immediate relief to women across Kentucky who have had their appointments cancelled and care delayed if not pushed entirely out of reach,” said Andrew Beck, senior staff attorney, ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project. “In the meantime, we’ll continue to fight this law and look forward to seeing the state in court.”
A preliminary injunction hearing has been scheduled for June 5, 2018.
