Madisonville Reproductive Freedom Project Presentation

ACLU of Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Project Director Derek Selznick will address recent legal decisions that impact reproductive freedom at a presentation on the Madisonville Community College Campus this Thursday.  The legal decisions include the rulings in the “Hobby Lobby” and clinic buffer zone cases.  Selznick will also address national trends on abortion restriction legislation, and what can be expected from the 2015 Kentucky General Assembly.  Particular attention will be paid to how the 2014 elections can have an impact on Kentucky's laws on reproductive rights. The talk will also explore the intersections of religious freedom, and reproductive rights.  After the presentation Selznick will facilitate questions and discussion.  The event is free and open to the public.  Check-in and refreshments are scheduled 5-6PM.  The talk will begin promptly at 6PM.
