On Sunday, October 26th from 11:00am -4:00pm Bellarmine University, in partnership with the Faculty for Social Innovation, Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, and the Bluegrass Bioneers will be hosting a a day of activism in tribute to the legendary folk musician and activist, Pete Seeger. Events include:
1) "Teach-Ins" on the topics of civil rights, labor rights, peacemaking, and environmental justice
2) An activism fair with participating organizations from across the region
3) A screening of the speakers at the National Bioneers Summit Conference
4) A Pete Seeger tribute concert featuring local musicians
The event is located in Frazier Hall and is free and open to the public.
