ACLU to host Youth Rights Leadership Conference on March 25, 2006 Print E-mail

The ACLU of K is excited to announce a statewide Youth Rights Leadership Conference on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville.

This one-day conference is being planned by and for high school students to help empower this generation of civil libertarians to take action.  The program will include workshops on a variety of topics, such as:

    * Freedom of Speech and Expression

    * Religious Freedom

    * Drug Testing

    * Right to Protest

    * Dress Codes

    * Zero Tolerance Policies

    * Discrimination in Schools

    * “Street Law”

    * Reproductive Freedom

    * LGBT Issues

    * Activism 101

We invite high school students and young people age 18 or under from across Kentucky to join us for this exciting day of action.  The conference is free to participants.

Registration is limited and we expect the conference to fill quickly, so get those forms in early!
