ACLU Sues on Behalf of Livingston Worker Who Lost City Contract After Publishing Letter-to-Editor

LONDON – The American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky filed a federal lawsuit today on behalf of a Rockcastle County man whose contract as a city worker was not renewed after he published a letter-to-the-editor critical of Livingston’s failure to hire a full-time police officer.

Conscientious Objector Will Take Alternative US Citizenship Oath

LOUISVILLE – Conscientious objector Tanja Medic has been granted the right to take an alternative oath so she will not have to swear to bear arms when she becomes a United States citizen on September 3, 2005.
