ACLU of KY Annual Meeting - Sunday, March 30, 2008 Print E-mail
Thursday, March 6, 2008, 1:03 pm

Followed by a community conversation with Loretta Ross

Please join us for the Annual Meeting of the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky and cast your vote for additions to the 2008-2009 Board of Directors. We will also be welcoming our new Executive Director, Michael Aldridge, and hear from Mr. Aldridge about his vision for the next chapter of  our organization’s history.  Following the Annual Meeting we are proud to co-host a community conversation on Reproductive Justice with Loretta Ross, Founder of SisterSong. The mission of the SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective is to strengthen and amplify the collective voices of indigenous women and women of color in order to secure their human rights, and thus achieve reproductive justice. They fight equally for the right to bear—or not to bear—a child, along with the subsequent and necessary enabling conditions to realize these rights.

bowling-art.jpgACLU Reproductive Freedom Project invites you to the Second Annual Bowling for Choice. This year’s event will be held Thursday, March 20th from 7-10 p.m. at Vernon Lanes, 1575 Story Avenue. MAP / WEB SITE

For this upcomng bowling event, the RFP would love for your business or group to sponsor one or more bowling teams. Registration fees $100 for a team registration and $25 for an individual. Non-bowlers are encouraged to make a donation.

To register, please contact the ACLU office at 581-9746. We will be happy to register your team and answer any of your questions regarding the event.

We would like to encourage all participants to request pledges. There is no minimum pledge (or maximum!) and it is for the whole bowling game (not how many pins are knocked down or how much a participant scores). All it takes is for the individual or bowling team to ask for a pledge from as many people or organizations as they would like, get the pledges name and address and amount of pledge. Please bring your pledge information and the monetary amount to our bowling event on Thursday, March 20th. pdf Click here to download a pledge sheet. 114.59 Kb
